We’ve had the pleasure of trying out Semantical’s new Today app coming in 2025.

Semantical is a new company/venture from the founders of Cultured Code, famous for their popular productivity app Things.

Today is a new take on personal productivity flow for 2025. Launching first on iOS, for iPhone.

The idea behind Today is to plan each day as it comes. Each day starts with a clean slate, you select from your main list of to-dos which of them you’re aiming to complete that day.

Once planned, via the app you commit to the plan and lock in your day. You then have the option to check your progress made throughout the day via iOS Live Activities.

At the end of your day, any to-dos left uncompleted move back into your main list of to-dos, ready to select again on a new day.

The aim of Today is to fight overcommitment, and stay focused throughout the day with a clear plan of action.

We’ve been excited to see the progress develop so far through iterations of early beta TestFlight builds, and the team behind Today are super responsive to feedback and improving the experience ready for their nearing launch.

Maybe if you're struggling with overcommitment, too many systems or too many lists, Today could be worth checking out for your own productivity flow in 2025.

If you would like to try Today, you can get early access by joining the TestFlight program available now.
